Symtavision strives to become a synonym for quality and reliability in designing complex real-time systems.
Symtavision pursues this goal by providing outstanding solutions for all timing issues in real-time operating systems and networked embedded system.
History
Symtavision was founded May 2005 as a spin-off from the Institute of Computer and Communication Network Engineering at the Technical University of Braunschweig, Germany. The SymTA/S software and technology is the result of many years of research and development there, before it was taken over by Symtavision.
The company is a German GmbH with shareholders from both the management and the university. The picture shows the founders of Symtavision Dr. Marek Jersak and Dr. Kai Richter.
Dr. Marek Jersak, Chief Executive Officer
Co-Founder of Symtavision.
Responsibility: Business Development, Marketing & Sales, Operations
Marek Jersak received a Diploma degree in Electrical Engineering from Aachen University of Technology, Germany in 1997 and his doctoral degree from the Technical University of Braunschweig, Germany in 2004. Between 1997 and 1999 he worked as a Design Engineer for Conexant Systems, Newport Beach, California, on DSP compiler optimization and processor/compiler co-design.
Dr. Kai Richter, Chief Technical Officer
Co-Founder of Symtavision.
Responsibility: Technology, Product Development, Projects
Kai Richter received a Diploma and a PhD in Electrical Engineering from the Technical University of Braunschweig, Germany in 1998 and 2004. He authored more than 40 papers in internationally recognized journals and conferences, and he has outstanding expertise in the field of timing and performance analysis of distributed embedded systems. As such, he was invited to contribute to the development of the timing model in AUTOSAR.
Uwe Köhler, Chief Financial Officer
With Symtavision since 2005.
Responsibility: Finance and Accounting, Investor Relations
Uwe Köhler has more than 15 years experience in the IT business, acted as General Manager and Chief Executive for different companies. He started his career after a diploma degree in electrical engineering and besides Symtavision he is active in the business angel network BANSON in Braunschweig.
Prof. Dr. Rolf Ernst
Associated with Symtavision since 2005.
Responsibility: Research, Technology Transfer
Rolf Ernst received a diploma in computer science and a Ph.D. in electrical engineering from the University of Erlangen-Nuremberg, Germany, in 1981 and 1987. From 1988 to 1989, he was a Member of Technical Staff in the Computer Aided Design & Test Laboratory at Bell Laboratories, Allentown, PA. Since 1990, he is a full professor of electrical engineering at the Technical University of Braunschweig, Germany, where he heads the Institute of Computer and Communication Network Engineering.
He is an "IEEE Fellow" and an "ACM Distinguished Lecturer" with more than 130 papers and invited tutorials, workshops, etc. in the fields of Embedded System Design Automation.
