Workshop at DAC (Design Automation Conference) on June 5th in San Diego, USA
On June 5th we will contribute to a one-day-workshop at DAC, Title: Intra and Inter-Vehicle Networking: Past, Present, and Future
This workshop focuses on the past, present, and potential future landscape of intra and inter-vehicle communication technologies, including CAN, FlexRay, Ethernet, and DSRC, with emphasis on the potential opportunities for the EDA industry in providing tool support for the analysis and design of Ethernet and DSRC based automotive architectures. Starting from the automotive OEM's requirements for the new technologies and the related tools to facilitate the adoption of new features, the workshop will also focus on the academic research efforts in this area as well as on the technologies and tool providers therein.
The workshop will be organized by General Motors Company and National Instruments Corp., among a number of experts from different companies our CEO Dr. Marek Jersak will contribute to the program.

First Preview for Symtavision NewsConference 2011
Our 5. Symtavision NewsConference will take place on Oct. 5th and 6th 2011 in Braunschweig. Like in the years before the venue will be the old monastery in Riddagshausen. The first day, stating at lunch-time, will be dedicated to research and technical innovation in two parallel tracks, like already in 2010. At the second day, the “Industrial Day”, we will present speakers from our customers and partners, who will give us an insight view about their timing analysis approach and their experience using Symtavision products.
As every year, there will be a pre-conference event in the evening of Oct. 5th. Also we will again have a number of technology partners exhibiting their products, on both conference days this year.
In early summer you will receive the invitation to the conference with the conference program and further details.
Product News: TraceAnalyzer 1.2
At Embedded World in Nuremberg in early March we have launched TraceAnalyzer 1.2 which delivers a ten-fold speed improvement in terms of visualizing and analyzing timing trace and log data for ECUs, controllers, processors, buses and networks, while also reducing memory requirements ten-fold.
The Symtavision TraceAnalyzer is a powerful tool for visualizing system timing in terms of the constituent ECUs, controllers, processors, buses and networks. With traces imported from standard trace probes, Symtavision TraceAnalyzer visualizes the trace and analyzes the timing, so that key timing parameters can be identified and properly understood, and generates statistics on execution times, interrupt patterns, communication bursts and resource utilization, amongst others. It provides visual clarity showing controller and bus schedules with events, blocking and pre-emptions and details the timing chains so that engineers can see the flow of signals and data through the system including data loss and multiple reads of the same data. Results are provided both graphically and in tabular form.
